Tanya and Shaun met when she was at university, and he was leading a seminar as a graduate who had landed a job at a company she’d quite like to work at. Not one to suffer fools, Tanya knew if she wanted to land herself a job at this workplace she needed to hotstep it to this bloke and make a good impression with some clever chit chat.
Shaun told me he only remembered two students from that day - and made sure he put in a good word for the genuine, intelligent one who struck him as someone he’d quite like to have as a friend. And then there was Tanya. Just kidding, of course he was talking about Tanya.
Tanya’s ploy worked, she landed the gig, and Shaun was happy he got a new mate for water cooler banter.
Two cats, many, many red wines, lots of arancini balls, a couple of hot new jobs, some epic Aussie road trips, some shocking dishwasher stacking from Tanya and some reluctant hoodie sharing from Shaun later… this perfect pair found themselves deeply in love in the most comfortable, effortless way.
Their ceremony was relaxed and fun, with elements of tradition, because any ceremony in the chapel at Kantara deserves the honourable, elegant elements of a traditional ceremony with a modern pop of personality. What a joy!
