Say goodbye to the inconvenience of heading to the Registry Office in Parramatta to get legally wed, and let’s catch up for a cuppa on the Coast instead for just $649. That’s cheaper and easier than the registry, and I promise I’ll be more fun! This effortless option is a relaxed yet legally-binding way to get married without fuss.
The Legals-Only wedding is just that - the minimum legal requirements for you to get married. It’s a relaxed, flexible, convenient, private and unique way to get married, popular with couples having an overseas wedding who need to get the legal paperwork done at home in Australia, or those who value a low-key, private and accessible way to bind their love.
What do we need for a ‘Legals Only’ ceremony with The Love Page Celebrant?
You two: consenting, over 18, not closely related, not currently married to anyone else.
Another two: to be our witnesses. They just need to be over 18 and to be able to understand what we are saying and doing. You can bring two buddies, or we can make someone’s day by asking them to listen in and sign the papers - maybe it’s the waitstaff, maybe it’s the lovelies at the table next to us, maybe it’s a dog walker - trust me, they’ll be overjoyed!
Me and you: I will say the legally required words, get you to say the legally required vows, and in about 150 words, BOOM we (well, you) are wed!
The paperwork: We will lodge the Notice of Intended Marriage at least one calendar month before the marriage date. On the day, I will bring along all of the other required paperwork, including your certificates. And within 24 hours, I will lodge your marriage with Births Deaths and Marriages, and apply for your official certificate on your behalf - no extra cost, no surprises there for your wallet.
Any extras: yes, if you’d like you can exchange rings and prepare and say your own vows, ask me and I’ll send you my Vow Writing Guide! If you’re after a love story and a ceremony with guests, ask me about my micro weddings or full wedding ceremonies.
Sounds good, when can we get married?
If you want to get married quickly, we can do it as early as one month from the day we get the NOIM witnessed, signed and lodged.
If you need to do it sooner, you may be eligible to apply for a shortening of time under limited special circumstances.
This option is for weekdays. If you’re busting for a weekend date though please do ask, you may be in luck.
We can do it over a coffee mid morning, and then you can go out for a lovely lunch.
Or if you’re keen for an afternoon affair, we can catch up over a drink!

Locked in: I’ll send you the payment details and then we’ll need to get the NOIM witnessed (either by me or an authorised person, I’ll send a list) and lodged at least a month before your special day.
Your Memorable Day: On the agreed-upon date, we'll meet at your chosen spot. Sip on coffee and share a little heartfelt moment as I officiate your marriage and take care of all legalities!
